Uttar Pradesh should adopt this model of Maharashtra Government

Maharashtra Government has launched Mahatma Gandhi Tanta Mukti Gaon Scheme(Dispute-free Village Scheme).The scheme was introduced as a way to get rid of small disputes in the village and thus bring about harmony.It was also seen as a measure to reduce the work pressure on policemen.The United Nations has decided to recognise this scheme.This is an excellent example of reducing the workload of rural police.This scheme should be introduced in Uttar Pradesh.In the rural areas of UP police is inefficient and also they don't go on patrolling so in this situation this scheme proved to be a milestone in UP.Uttar pradesh government has to take initiatives because law and order situaiton is getting worse day by day.It's my request to the UP government.

Need to be honest towards their ethics and values

Uttar Pradesh Police is getting valueless,their ethics,their moral values are getting vanished day by day.I can't even give more marks to the police of lucknow,which is our capital.Review meetings are held and directions have been given to police but police kept these directions only in file.People's expectations are very high but most of the time their belief gets hurt by the action taken by the police.We are talking about reforms but the first reform is the dedication towards duty given to him and policemen have the duty to make the image of a friend in the heart of people.

System of replacement of SSPs with DIGs is totally failed in giving effective result.

Crime Graph is showing rising trend in Uttar Pradesh.Honourable Chief Minister Mayawati warned police officials and gave them directions to act as tough as possible to control crime.Actually,crime graph is on rising trend since the Zonal IG posts were removed and SSPs were replaced by DIGs as District Police Chief in 8 Mahanagars.Earlier DGP Vikram Singh also gave a report in which it was clearly said that the performance in these 8 mahanagars are not good bcoz of this concept but government ruled out to change it's decision.

Uttar Pradesh has efficient IPS Officers who are able to control crime in an effective manner but it's very important to find out the root cause of the problem.It's embarrasing me because i don't always blame policemen.

Community policing is the effective method of developing faith on policemen

Community policing is an effective means to fill the gap between the police and people.This should be a part of policing.Actually a top police official of Uttar Pradesh has applied this concept in naxal affected areas last week.It is a commendable job and this will reduce the trust deficit between police and villagers but this should be applied in whole state.We have SHOs,COs,APSs for performing these functions and DPCs should also take a part in this but this should be done in a proper manner.By this misunderstanding will be reduced between police and people.Actually,a lot of work is pending for Uttar Pradesh Police.

Make intelligence network strong

The intelligence network of Uttar Pradesh Police is weak or ineffective.There are too many cases which are closed without any result.Actually police officers are not interested in making their intelligence nwtwork strong and effective.If the intelligence network of Uttar Pradesh Police is effective then crime graph goes down within a short period of time but that will happened only when Uttar Pradesh Police is really keen to rid their state of criminal activities.Beat Constable plays a very important role in providing information about criminal activities, so make beat constable accountable and responsible towards his duty.

DPCs should take suitable action on every complaint against policemen

But the problem of taking the action on complaint is same as earlier.This system must be change now because if no action will be taken on complaint then people won't be able to develop the feeling of trust and everything reamains same.Uttar Pradesh Police will have to be free from the pressure of politics.I know that this is not as easy as i say because police is only the instrument for implementing the policy of government but special drives can be launched to win the hearts of people and DPCs(District police Chiefs) will have to take this initiative.Infact,this initiative should also be taken by ASPs,DSPs and SHOs.

People's thinking should be changed regarding the image of policemen

Actually,there is misunderstanding between a policeman and aam aadmi.Common man thinks that he will get no response when he will go to register a complaint at Police Station but this is not true.I agree that some police stations have very poor records in registering a complaint or FIR but now this tradition is changing.Police registers a complaint but for this victim must have a trust on them.

Artificial show of fighting

Fake Encounter,an artificial show for showing courage and bravery.These days Uttar Pradesh Police is involving in this kind of show.I m not able to understand that why strict action is not being taken for policemen involved in fake encounters.Is it right to kill a innocent person and then raise up ur weapon and say,"Hurray,we killed him."?

Complex system of Uttar pradesh police

It's very tough to understand the whole system of Uttar Pradesh Police because everyday a new thing reveals about UP Police.There is an urgent need to solve the root problem which is affecting the work efficiency of UP Police.For this Senior Police officers need to develop a good communication with our policemen because no system can run without cooperation.
